The New York Yankees are the highest paid sports team out of any sport in the world, according to a report. The next three runners up are the European soccer teams Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and Chelsea FC. After them is the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, said Web site Sportingintelligence.com. The average pay per year for each Yankee's player was at about $7 million, which amounts to $135,000 per week. The Mavericks averaged $5.3 million per year. At number 10 on the list was the New York Knicks with each player earning around $4.7 million per year, which averages out to $62,000 per week.
