Antonio Garrigues, Honorary Ambassador of the Leading Brands of Spain Forum 2010

MADRID. The Leading Brands of Spain Forum has just named Antonio Garrigues as Honorary Ambassador of the Spain brand in the fourth year since the institution launched the project “Spain Brand Honorary Ambassadors”.

The selection recognizes Antonio Garrigues in the category “business management” for his contributions abroad during his whole professional background as chairman of Spanish law firm Garrigues.

“For being the Spanish jurist with the highest worldwide recognition, and a reference in the area of business management as chairman of Spanish law firm Garrigues, among the top firms in Continental Europe and among the most prestigious in the world”, stated the Leading Brands of Spain Forum’s announcement.

Antonio Garrigues shares recognition with the tennis player Rafael Nadal (sports), the musician Inma Shara (culture), and the architect Santiago Calatrava (Science and Innovation). Among the institutions awarded are, Principe de Asturias Foundation (Institutional Relations), Cervantes Institute (Communication); Vicente Ferrer Foundation (Social) and exceptionally the Spanish Football team for their outstanding performance in the last World Cup.

“Spain Brand Honorary Ambassadors” are selected biennially by a jury integrated by representatives of the Spanish business, institutional and international environments. It is a proprietary initiative from the Leading Brands of Spain Association with consent from Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs fulfilling one of its main generic goals: international promotion of Spain image and the “Spain Brand”.
